Managing Director of GAPAS, an association offering various forms of support for disabled people, children and adults (1,200 people), in the Hauts-de-France and Ile-de-France regions (1,000 employees), Member of the governance committee of the CNCPH (Conseil National Consultatif des Personnes Handicapées) François drafts opinions on behalf of the French government on legislation and decrees based on CNCPH proposals. He is also working with the Ministry for the Disabled on the next National Disability Conference, to be chaired by the French President in spring 2023.
In 2021, François Bernard was promoted to the rank of Chevalier de l’ordre national du Mérite and decorated by Minister Sophie Cluzel.
